Wall painting looks simple, but the difference between a job that peels within a year and one that stays crisp for a decade is almost entirely in the preparation and the products. As a building contracting company working across Fujairah and the Northern Emirates, here is how we approach it.
1. Surface preparation comes first
Before a single drop of paint is applied, walls are cleaned, cracks are filled, and any loose or flaking material is removed. On new plaster we allow full curing time; rushing this is the single most common cause of blistering later.
2. The right primer for the surface
Bare plaster, previously painted walls, and moisture-prone areas each need a different primer. A correctly primed wall seals the surface, improves coverage, and gives the topcoat something to bond to.
3. Choosing paint built for UAE conditions
We specify washable, moisture-resistant emulsions for interiors and weather-shield systems for exteriors, so the finish stands up to heat, humidity and coastal air without fading.
4. Application and finishing
Two even coats, correct drying time between them, and clean cut-in lines at edges and skirting. The result is a uniform finish with no roller marks, patchiness or visible joints.
